YOUR FINAL PORT O'CALL--Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Eight bells sound and your watch is over. You tie up, never to let go again. It's your "final port o' call." God said, " is appointed unto men once to die..." Hebrews 9:27.

Shipmate, have you ever inwardly asked yourself this question, "Is God satisfied with me?"

Many think that when they bless instead of curse, give instead of steal, speak truth instead of a lie, that God accepts them and would not let them go to hell. The common thinking today is "live right and go to heaven; live bad and go to hell." This way may seem right, but the Bible says, "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man; but the end thereof are the ways of death" Proverbs 16:25. Also, "All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits" Proverbs 16:2. At this time allow the Lord to weigh your thoughts by the Word of God concerning how you think you are going to heaven.

God says in Psalm 39:5 "...verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity." Man cannot satisfy God because "...There is none righteous, no, not one. .. there is none that doeth good, no, not

one" Romans 3:10,12. How can anything good come from a man whose "...whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint" Isaiah 1:5? Man's "...heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins... "Jeremiah 17:9,10.

Therefore, we "...have no confidence in the flesh" because " my flesh, dwelleth no good thing..." Philippians 3:3; Romans 7:18. "...the carnal (fleshly) mind is enmity against God..." Romans 8:7. We are undone, wicked and wretched. "...all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23. The Bible says, "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away" Isaiah 64:6.

Moreover, it is written, "...Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them" Galatians 3:10. "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all" James 2:10. Have you ever offended God in just one point? We have sinned and come short of God's glory, and "_the wages of sin is death... "Romans 6:23.

"And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” I

Matthew 3:17. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the just One, holy One, good One, and pure One. Jesus was born of a virgin, not conceived by Adam's race. He is the only man that ever walked upon this earth who never sinned. The Bible says, "...God was in Christ..." 2 Corinthians 5:19. Jesus Christ was God in the flesh.

We have sinned against God and deserve the wages of sin, which is death. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8. Christ did not sin, but yet He paid the wage so that God could delight in us as He does in His Son. God "...made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" 2 Corinthians 5:21. "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all" Isaiah 53:6. "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit" I Peter 3:18. When Jesus suffered for us " pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief when thou shall make his soul an offering for sin ... He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied.." Isaiah 53:10,11. The blood of Jesus Christ has satisfied God for man. Jesus has made peace through the blood of his cross (Colossians 1:20). The anger of

God because of man's sin has been appeased through Jesus Christ. We are "...made nigh by the blood of Christ" Ephesians 2:13. The sin debt has been paid; reconciliation has been made; the blood of Christ has made peace for you. Jesus Christ has "...put away sin by the sacrifice of himself" Hebrews 9:26. He has risen from the dead and is now in the presence of God for us (Hebrews 9:24). Because of His work and His presence at God's right hand, you can go freely to heaven.

Today, believe this record that God gave of His Son. "...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shaft be saved, and thy house" Acts 16:31. "But without faith it is impossible to please him (God)..." Hebrews 11:6. Knowing from the scriptures that you are helpless and unfit before God, forsake your self-righteous ways and thoughts. Remember that Jesus Christ made peace with God through His blood. Right now be reconciled to God in Christ's place. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" Ephesians 2:8. "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” John 3:18. Since faith pleases God, then you must believe on the Lord

Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "...This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent" John 6:29.

"And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his NAME" John 20:30,31. Don't delay! Believe on him today.
