What We Believe
Of the Scriptures
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired; that it is truth without admixture of error for its matter; and therefore is and shall remain to the end of the age, the only complete and final authority and revelation of the will of God to man; true center of Christian union and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions should be tried.
1. By ďThe Holy BibleĒ we mean that collection of sixty-six books from Genesis to Revelation, which, as written and
preserved in the 1611 Authorized King James Version, does not only contain and convey the Word of God, but
is the very Word of God.
2. By ďInspirationĒ we mean that the books of the Bible were written by holy men of old as they were moved by the
Holy Spirit in such a definite way that their writings were supernaturally and verbally inspired and free from error,
as no other writings ever have been or ever will be inspired.

Luke 24:44,45 John 5:45-47 John 17:17 Romans 15:4 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 2 Peter 1:19-21
Of the True God
We believe that there is one and only one true and living God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of Heaven and earth; that He is inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal in every Divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices.

Of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is Deity; that He is equal with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit; the He was born of the virgin Mary; that He lived a sinless life as an example for the world; that He died sacrificially and shed His blood for payment of the sins of the world; that He rose again bodily and as our High Priest applied His blood to the mercy seat; that He lives today and is seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven interceding for the saved; that He is coming again to call the saved unto Himself.

Of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person; equal with the Father and the Son and of the same nature; that He was active in the creation; that in His relation to the unbelieving world He restrains the evil one until Godís purpose is fulfilled; that He convicts of sin, of judgment and of righteousness; the He bears witness of the truth of the Gospel in preaching and teaching and witnessing; that He sanctifies and helps the believer.
Genesis. 1:1-2 Matthew 28:19 Mark 1:8 Luke 1:35 Luke 3:16 John 3:5,6 John 14:16-26 John 15:26 John 16:7-11 Acts 5:32 Romans 8:16 Romans 8:26,27 Ephesians 1:13,14
2 Thessalonians 2:13 Hebrews 9:14 1 Peter 1:2
Of the Devil (Satan)
We believe that Satan was once holy and enjoyed heavenly honors but through pride and ambition to be as the Almighty, fell, and drew after him a host of angels; that he is the malignant price of the power of the air and the unholy god of this world. We hold him to be manís great tempter, the enemy of God and His Christ, the accuser of the saints, the author of all false religions, the chief power behind the present apostasy, the lord of the anti-christ, and the author of all the power of darkness. We believe that Satan is destined to final defeat at the hand of Godís Son and to he judgment of an eternal justice in hell, a place of punishment prepared for him and his angels.
Isaiah 14:12-15 Ezekiel 28:12-19 Matthew 4:1-11 Matthew 25:41 Ephesians 2:2 1 Peter 5:8 2 Peter 2:4 1 John 3:8 Jude 6 Revelations 12:9 Revelations 20:1-3,7-10
Of the Creation
We believe in the Genesis account of creation and that it is to be accepted literally, and not allegorically or figuratively; that manís creation was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species or development through interminable periods of time from lower to higher forms; that man was created an eternal being in the image of Godí that all animal life and plant life were created directly; that Godí established law is that they should bring forth only after their kind.
Genesis 1:1-31 Genesis 2:1-25 Exodus 20:11 Nehemiah. 9:6 Psalm 104:1-35 Jeremiah 10:12 John 1:3 Acts 4:24 Acts 17:24-26 Romans 1:20 Colossians 1:16,17 Hebrews 11:3 Revelation 10:6
Of the Fall of Man
We believe that man was created in innocence under the law of his Maker, but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless and happy state, in consequence of which all men are sinner, not by constraint but by choice, and therefore under just condemnation without defense or excuse.
Genesis 3:1-6 Ezekiel 18:19-20 Romans 1:20 Romans 1:28 Romans 3:10-19,23 Romans 5:12,19
Ephesians 2:1 Galatians 3:10,22
Of the Virgin Birth
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, in a miraculous manner; that He was born of the virgin Mary, as no other man has ever been born before or can ever be born of woman, and that He is both the Son of God and God the Son.
Isaiah 7:14 Psalm 2:7 Matthew 1:18-25 Mark 1:1 Luke 1:35 John 1:14 1 John 5:20
We believe that faith is the believing in God and taking Him at His Word; that faith is a necessary ingredient to salvation and the Christian walk; that the faith that people posses is a gift from Godí that faith will grow in accordance with obedience to God.
Matthew 17:20 Romans 1:17 Romans 3:28 2 Corinthians 5:7 Ephesians 2:8.9 Hebrews 10:38 Hebrews 11:1-40
Of the Atonement for Sin
We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace, through the mediatorial office of the Son of God, who, by the appointment of the Father, freely took upon Himself human form, yet without sin, and honored the Divine law by His personal obedience. We believe that by His death He made a full and vicarious atonement for our sins; that His atonement consisted not in setting us an example by His death as a martyr, but in the voluntary substitution of Himself in the sinners place, the just dying for the unjust, Christ the Lord bearing our sins in His own body on the tree. We believe He is risen from the dead, and has applied His blood to the mercy seat in heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.
Matthew 18:11 Acts 15:11 Romans 3:24 Galatians 1:4 Ephesians 2:8 Philippians 2:5-11
Hebrews 12:2 1 Peter 2:24 1 Peter 3:18 1 John 2:2 1 John 4:10
We believe that salvation is a gift of God, through Jesus Christís death, burial, and resurrection, to those who believe.
John 3:16 Acts 16:30,31 Romans 5:8 Romans 6:23 Romans 10:9,10,13 Ephesians 2:8,9
We believe that the great Gospel blessing which Christ secures to such as believe in Him is Justification; that Justification includes the pardon of sin and the gift of eternal life on the principles of righteousness; that it is bestowed not in consideration of any works which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemers blood, His righteousness is imputed unto us.
Isaiah 53:11 Zechariah 13:1 Acts 13:39 Romans 5:9 Galatians 3:11 Titus 3:5-7
Of the New Creation
We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again; that the new birth is anew creation in Christ Jesus; that it is instantaneous and not a process; that in the new birth the one dead in trespasses and in sins is made a partaker of the Divine nature and receives eternal life, the free gift of Godí that the new creation is brought about in a manner above our comprehension, not by character, nor by the will of man, but wholly and solely by the power of the Holy Spirit; that its proper evidence appears in the holy fruits of repentance and faith and newness of life.
John 3:3 John 3:6,7 2 Corinthians 5:17,19 Ephesians 2:1 Ephesians 5:8,9
Colossians 2:13 2 Peter 1:4
Of the Church
We believe that a church is a congregation of baptized believers, observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His
laws; and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word; that its officers of ordination are pastors,
whose qualifications and duties are clearly defined in the Scriptures. We believe the true mission of the church is found in the Great Commission; First, to win the lost; Second, to baptize those saved; Third, to teach and instruct as He has commanded. We hold that the local church has the absolute right of self government, free from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations, and that the one and only superintendent is Christ, through the Holy Spirit; that it is Scriptural for New Testament churches to co-operate with each other in contending for the faith and for the furtherance of the Gospel.
Malachi 3:10 Matthew 28:19,20 Acts 2:41,42 Acts 14:23 1 Corinthians 12:28 Ephesians 1:22,23
Ephesians 4:11,12 Ephesians 5:23 1 Timothy 3:1-13
We believe that baptism is the immersion of a believer in water, in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit with the authority of the local church, to show forth in a solemn and beautiful picture of our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Saviour. We believe that baptism is a pre-requisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lordís Supper.
Matthew 3:16 Matthew 28:19 John 3:23 Acts 2:41 Acts 8:36-39 Romans 6:3-5
Of the Lordís Supper
We believe that the Lordís Supper is to commemorate the sacrificial death of Christ; that the unleavened bread represents the broken body of Jesus; and that the unfermented fruit of the vine represents His shed blood. Partaking of the Lordís Supper should always be preceded by solemn self-examination.
Matthew 26:26-29 Mark 14:22-25 Luke 22:17-20 1 Corinthians 11:23
Of Eternal Security
We believe in the eternal security of the believer. We believe that when someone is born into the family of God that he is sealed by the Holy Spirit and is kept by Godís power and is thus secure in Christ forever.
John 6:37-39 John 10:28,29 Romans 8:16,35-39 Ephesians 4:30 1 Peter 1:3-5
Of the Righteous and the Condemned
We believe that there is a radical and essential difference between the righteous and the condemned; that only those who are saved are righteous in the sight of God; that those unsaved are under Godís condemnation. We believe in the everlasting happiness of the saved and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost.
Genesis 18:23 Proverbs 11:31 Malachi 3:18 Matthew 13:36-43 Matthew 25:31-46 John 3:18 Acts10:34,35 Romans 6:16-18 Romans 7:6 1 Corinthians 15:22 1 Peter 4:17,18 1 John 2:29
1 John 5:19
Of Christ Resurrection and Return
We believe that Christ arose from the dead bodily after three daysí that He ascended into heaven; and that He will return bodily to earth to claim His own.
Matthew 25:13 Matthew 28:6,7 Luke 24:39 John 20:27 Acts 1:11 1 Corinthians 15:3-23
We believe the command to give the Gospel to the world is clear and unmistakable and this commission is given to the local churches. This church is therefore obligated to send out or support missionaries to areas unreachable by it membership.
Matthew 28:18-20 Mark 16:15 Luke 10:1-9 John 20:21
We believe Scriptural giving is one of the fundamentals of the Faith, and that Scriptural giving begins with the tithe. This tithe is to be a tenth of all of a persons increase. We believe the tithe is to come into the church for the use of the work of God in this local assembly.
Leviticus 27:30 Malachi 3:10 Matthew. 23:23 1 Corinthians 16:2 2 Corinthians 9:7
Of The Family
1. We believe marriage was ordained by God as one male and one female becoming one flesh. We believe it was
Godís design that a man and woman enter the marriage union for life.
Genesis 2:18-25 Matthew 19:3-9 Romans 7:2 Ephesians 5:22-32
2. We believe God has provided for intimate sexual relations between man and woman within the covenant of
marriage; sexual relations outside the bonds of marriage, including homosexuality, bisexuality, bestiality, incest,
adultery, fornication, pedophilia, among others alluded to in Godís Word, are a sin. We believe acts that defile
Godís human creation, such as gender modification, through medical procedures or by appearance, and
participation in the sexual degradation of others through pornography, are attacks against the family unit, are
against the will of God, and are sins.

Hebrews 13:4 Ephesians 5:3-5 I Thessalonians 4:8
3. We believe in the sanctity of human life. We believe human life begins at conception, and from conception
through the elderly adult years should be respected as a creation of God. We believe abortion, infanticide,
euthanasia, suicide, assisted suicide, and other similar acts are acts of murder and therefore against the will of

Jeremiah 1:5 Romans 9:20-22 I Timothy 5:1-2
4. We believe children are a blessing from God and are to be taught spiritual and moral values by their parents,
who are to rear them with loving discipline following the example and instruction of our Lord.
